Desktop Video Compressor — Help Guide
Complete guide for installing, using, and troubleshooting the SOTNEM Desktop Video Compressor application.
Installation
The SOTNEM Desktop Video Compressor is available for Windows and Linux. Download the installer from the SOTNEM platform after signing in, then follow the standard installation process for your operating system.
Usage
- Launch the application and sign in with your SOTNEM account
- Drag and drop video files or use the file browser to select videos
- Choose your compression quality preset (recommended: High Quality)
- Click Compress to begin processing
- Optionally enable direct upload to Vision Vault
Compression Settings

Troubleshooting
- If compression is slow, ensure GPU drivers are up to date
- Large files (over 10GB) may require significant processing time
- If upload fails, check your internet connection and try again
